Social Media Strategy ConsultingA Force You Can't Ignore

Social media is a spoke on the online marketing wheel that brings more opportunity.  More ways to promote your products, your brand, bring people to your website and build relationships.

Join and Create Conversation

Millions all over the world are turning to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social networking sites to express their views.  It's valuable to be part of the community, part of the conversation.  Even more valuable to start them.

It's all About Content

Chances are, you know a lot about your field.  Use your website to share your expertise.  Then, use social channels to tell people that you've created new content.  You may have more resources to draw from than you think.  Association and industry news, company presentations, informative emails or even the conversation you had with a colleague this morning could be turned into interesting content on your site.

Once you post your juicy bits, use social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or other relevant outlets to tell people it's there.

Make Friends and Invite them Home

Using social media in your business is a matter of meeting people on social channels and inviting them to visit your website.   The recipe is simple:

  1. Get out there and make some friends.  And remember - it's not all about YOU.  Just as talking about yourself all the time is obnoxious in person, it's the same on social channels.  Be sure to listen to others and share tidbits that you find fun, interesting or important.
  2. Post interesting content on your site.  Use blogs, video, white papers or news articles to let the world see that you know a thing or two.
  3. Invite people to enjoy the content on your site.   Drawing people to your website is an important part of your strategy and your website needs to be designed for a great visitor experience and for the conversions that you're looking for.
  4. Capture information (name, email, etc.)  Don't let that fish get away!  Ask for basic contact information so you can continue the conversation.
  5. Follow up with traditional or email marketing tools that help you achieve your business goals
