Front-End Web Developer

CoolCoyotes is looking for a front-end web designer and content manager to work on new websites for our clients. We want someone who can use the DotNetNuke platform to produce sites that are great-looking, rich in content and offer a fantastic user experience.
Your job will be to:
- Create the pages in the DotNetNuke CMS
- Place content on the pages in an attractive, contemporary style
- Use Photoshop to build banners and page-level graphics
- Massage content provided by the client to create a great user experience
- Massage content provided by the client to incorporate targeted keywords
- Establishing good code, page titles and metatags for SEO best practices
- Communicate with team members and our clients about site progress
This job requires the following skill set:
- Creative and artistic for creating attractive pages
- A good web writer for turning client-provided text into good web content
- Able to build a good UX
- Experienced in DotNetNuke content management framework
- Familiar with how to use DotNetNuke skins
- Able to do light coding in HTML and CSS
- Photoshop for creating custom page-level graphics
- Ability to work efficiently, productively and independently
- Knowledge of contemporary web design and best practices
- Must have good communication skills and good collaboration skills
- Attention to detail - down to the pixel - is a MUST
This position is:
- Project-based - which means that when we have projects, you have work
- Remote - you can work from home, but you must keep track of hours. If you work from home, you must be able to video Skype to collaborate.
- 1099 - invoice us weekly
- Time-sensitive - projects must be completed according to our project plan and commitments to our clients
- Position reports to VP Online Marketing and is supported by our office admin and technical support staff.
Our next project is to start within 2 weeks and has up to 80 hours that can be spread over 4 weeks. Rate is $20 hour. Once we start working with you, we would like to develop a relationship and use you as a development resource on a regular basis.
We don't need a resume but we do want to know that you truly KNOW how to place content on a DotNetNuke site and have a portfolio to back it up. Again, we're looking for websites that demonstrate good design and user experience. Anyone can build a DNN site - we want to build great ones.
